As Brennan Murphey's debut solo acoustic harp album, Tears of Joy is a heartfelt expression of his favorite traditional Irish harp songs by Turlough O'Carolan and other notable Irish composers, as well as three original songs written by Brennan Murphey himself. Every song consists of nothing but pure instrumental celtic harp.

The album stands out in the modern musical landscape for its simplicity, humanity and raw emotion. Brennan's intention in creating this album was to invoke the simple peace and joy of the natural world, with as little contrivance as possible, serenading the listener with gentle lullabies and creating serenity in a world that has become too overwhelming and distracting.

It is Brennan's hope that you will find this album valuable as a way to slow down and tune in to your inner feelings. If you stop whatever you're doing, sit down and listen with your whole self, tears are likely to come.
